It was reported that the Youth Wing of PAS had called for cancellation of the concert by the western group Michael Learns To Rock, scheduled in September, as "it is an insult to Muslims to hold such concert during the month of Ramadan."
In working towards 1Malaysia, we need to be inclusive in our actions; it may be Ramadan but there are people of other religious beliefs in this country who must be taken into consideration. This type of behaviour is typical of PAS in order to appeal to the grassroots - anything that is entertainment-oriented is un-Islamic and must be rejected....are we on our way to becoming like Pakistan or Afghanistan?
